Bone marrow biopsy is to pull out compact bone marrow from the bones for testing. This is the area where most of the blood cells are produced.
The biopsy is done using a tiny needle into the bone. The tissue is removed then sent to the lab. This will be checked through a microscope for further analysis.
After the biopsy, if you find yourself going through fever, swelling, redness, or more pain contact your doctor immediately.
